Visions of Taos
Visions of The Southwest The Southwest has a unique combination of history, people, culture, and landscape that can leave lasting impressions. Visions of The Southwest is a series of one-of-a-kind furniture that is a collaborative work of furniture-maker Greg Snyder and artist Paula Snyder. Each piece embodies an interpretation of areas in the Southwest and is an original work in design, art, and color and will not be duplicated. Finished to reflect a patina from years of wear the furniture is constructed to provide many years of use. |
Visions of Taos The history of Taos, New Mexico is rich in art, Native American and Western culture, and landscape. The opposing "V" notches represent the highest mountain in New Mexico and the Rio Grande Gorge (rift), a geological opening in the earth's crust. Geometric symbols represent the areas relationship with the Tewa people who settled in the area. Green and mustard colors represent the Rabbit Brush and Sage that dot the landscape. |
